In the video ‘Rice paper’ Ngoc Nau presents her process of finding shared memories from urban and river landscapes and Vietnamese issues in Cambodia through her two months residency in the Sasa Arts project in Phnompenh and her experimenting with video effect applition on phone to create a discussion on the issue with what Vietnam experienced in the past and is facing the problems in the present. Every piece of land, every river is no more itself but becomes the target of powerful interest groups. That make the poor always be in a dilema situation and struggle to find the stability. The infrastructure development of Phnom Penh has raised many questions for people including Ngoc Nau.
Who is controlling the spirit of the landscape and what is the future like for both Cambodia and Vietnam? Ngoc Nau tries to imagine the life in the future of Cambodian as well as thinking about Vietnamese community living in the Tonle Sap and the new Vietnamese being trapped in the Casino business in Cambodia in recent years.

ในงานวีดิทัศน์ “ไรซ์ เปเปอร์” หง็อก เนา ได้นำเสนอขั้นตอนการค้นหาความทรงจำร่วมกันจากภูมิทัศน์ของเมืองและแม่น้ำ รวมถึงปัญหาของชาวเวียดนามที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศกัมพูชาตลอดสองเดือนที่เธอพักอาศัยอยู่ในโครงการ ซาซา อาร์ต ณ กรุงพนมเปญ อีกทั้งยังได้ทดลองใช้แอปพลิเคชั่นเอฟเฟกต์วิดีโอในโทรศัพท์เพื่อสร้างการพูดคุยถึงปัญหาที่เวียดนามเคยประสบพบเจอในอดีตและกำลังเผชิญมันอยู่ในปัจจุบัน ที่ดินทุกผืนและแม่น้ำทุกสายไม่ได้เป็นของตัวมันเองอีกต่อไป แต่มันกลับกลายมาเป็นเป้าหมายของกลุ่มแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ที่ทรงอำนาจ สิ่งนั้นทำให้ผู้คนที่น่าสงสารต้องตกอยู่ในสถานการณ์ที่กลืนไม่เข้าคายไม่ออกและต้องดิ้นรนเพื่อตามหาความมั่นคงอยู่ตลอดเวลา ซึ่งการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานของพนมเปญนั้นล้วนทำให้เกิดคำถามมากมายกับผู้คนและรวมถึงตัวหง็อก เนา เองด้วย ใครเป็นผู้ควบคุมจิตวิญญาณแห่งภูมิทัศน์ และอนาคตของกัมพูชาและเวียดนามจะเป็นแบบใด? หง็อก เนา ลองจินตนาการถึงชีวิตในอนาคตของชาวกัมพูชา ตลอดจนคิดถึงชุมชนชาวเวียดนามที่อาศัยอยู่ในโตนเลสาบและชาวเวียดนามรุ่นใหม่ ๆ ถูกขังอยู่ในธุรกิจคาสิโนในประเทศกัมพูชาในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมา
